But what about
the spaces
in between?
The moments
that were seen
and uncaptured,
lacking immortalization,
too special to be
interrupted.
How do we
hold on?
When everything
in life
begins to fade
into an endless
white light.
Like the flash
that strikes
light lightning
to capture a
moment
you didn’t want
to forget.
Even when
those images
are revisited,
they’re
inaccurate,
changed.
And instead
have taken on
a hazy quality
of vague knowings
and false promises
and hopes lifted
to the great unknown.
