Story Description
An Old Postcard is a three-part story that starts with Cass, a girl coping ineffectively with the recent divorce of her parents. She feels alone and isolated, reacting to the world in extreme and often violent, capricious anger. She lands herself in weekend detention after a particularly aggressive encounter with a student who sexually harasses her at school. While in detention painting an unused room in her school’s library, Cass comes across an odd postcard with an even more odd photo and decides to take it home. Only later does she realize that taking it with her was the biggest mistake she would ever make. The story is told in three parts from three perspectives.
